Wow it has been some time since I have posted. I have just been enjoying my month off from work and spending time with family, friends and my husband. My birthday went well. We celebrated it at the Cheesecake Factory. Then we headed to Downtown Disney and walked around a bit. We even watched the Star Trek movie at the AMC there again. My friend came out from AZ and it was great. Well I am back now. Let me know if anything exciting has happened to any of you!!!

And Otts, thanks for the B-Day banner. I am going to add it to my user info page! You rock!

I am shocked and saddened by the death of Natasha Richardson. She was an amazingly talented actress.

So I guess it is time to write something on here again before you all think I have been abducted by aliens or something (not that being abducted by aliens would be a terrible thing, depending on the aliens. Definitely not Daleks or Cybermen, but maybe something more friendly). Sorry got sidetracked. I guess I don't write on here much because I lead a rather boring life so to speak. Most of my time is sucked up by work. Especially from August to December this past year. They had me all over the place. I was beginning to forget what my husband and cat looked like. I literally only spent like 1-2 days/nights at my house, all the rest were spent in some hotel here or there for work. It literally sucked. Christmas was disappointing because I had so little time to do any shopping. And forget trying to decorate. I was only home about 3-4 days before Christmas. I didn't get to make any of my Holiday treats or do any decorating. I did manage to get gifts for everyone that I was supposed to get gifts for. That was luck. It just didn't feel like Christmas to me. Hopefully next year will be better.

I was hoping that after the first of the year things would slow down. But I managed to get to work in my own office for about a week and then the traveling started again. I would have been traveling this past week as well if I had not done something crazy to my back. Pulled a muscle or something. Must have been from coughing the doctor thinks (I had a chest cold recently.) So I have been off work on a doctors note for the past week. I go back in on Monday. Probably be in San Diego and Phoenix this upcoming week.

Personally things are boring. We recently went and watched the third Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans movie. We liked it a lot. I think they did a good job. It didn't make me miss Scott Speedman or Kate Beckinsale like I thought it would. If you liked the first two go and see the third for the back story.

Most of the time when I am at home I am just trying to spend time with my family and rest before I am off for work again. So I apologize for the long absences. I'll try and improve on the updating this year. Wish me luck!!!!!

Today when I went to get on our PC it went crazy. Windows stopped working and we have had to take it in for repair. If we fix it, we will lose all our personal photos. So we have someone that is going to do and save our documents and photos first. I will have to pay $100 but I'll get to keep my wedding photos and other family photos. Which we will be transferring to discs as soon as the pc is back safe and sound. So other than that things are smooth this weekend.

oh and i changed my layout...

This is taken from "the leaky cauldron site"

Alan Horn, the president and chief operating officer of Warner Bros., has issued another statement about the move of the Half-Blood Prince movie to July 2009; in this statement he addresses the fans directly (as far as we know, this statement has only been sent to fan sites) and says that the decision to move the film was “not taken lightly” and “never intended to upset Harry Potter fans.” He also says, “We know you have built this series into what it is.”

The full text is below:

‘Many of you have written to me to express your disappointment in our moving “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” to Summer 2009. Please be assured that we share your love for Harry Potter and would certainly never do anything to hurt any of the films. Over the past 10 years, we have nurtured and protected each film, and the integrity of the books upon which they are based, to the best of our ability. The decision to move “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” was not taken lightly, and was never intended to upset our Harry Potter fans. We know you have built this series into what it is, and we thank you for your ongoing enthusiasm and support. If I may offer a silver lining: there would have been a two-year gap between “Half-Blood Prince” and the much-anticipated first part of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” which opens in November 2010. So although we have to wait a little longer for “Half-Blood Prince,” the wait from that film until “Deathly Hallows” will be less than 18 months. I am sorry to have disappointed you now, but if you hold on a little longer, I believe it will be worth the wait.’

ok. So for any of you that actually care. Here is the very short albeit true story of my day that sparked the kindness of strangers question...

For my job, during the summer months we go out visit our customers and get feedback on the service. I had made it through 4 schools that day and was on my fifth school when it happened. I pulled up into the bus lane at the school and parked. The landscapers asked me as I was getting out of my car if I planned on being parked there for a long time. I told them "no. I am only running in to get some information, and I'll be right back out. Probably 15-20 mins tops." He said. "okay. I am on my break and could use the shade from the tree." So I began to hurry. I went in to the school and spoke with the Site Supervisor. Upon my retrun trip to my car, I couldn't find my keys. I stopped and emptied the contents of my pockets and sure enough they weren't there. Keep in mind it is a hot day and the parking lot is asphalt. When I looked in my window I could see them hanging ever so nicely in the ignition. I was fuming!!!!! All the doors were locked and my cell phone, purse and laptop were locked inside with the keys.

The same gentlemen that had asked about using the shaded spot, came over and tried to help we get into the car. But it was no use. So he let me use his cell phone to call my husband. He let me make phone call after phone call on his phone until I reached some one. I waited for almost 2 hours until some one came to help me get into my car. But without that nice man, I could have been there a lot longer.

So yes, OTTS, you could say I had a bad day. But it was all my own absentminded fault. I do truly believe that you can rely on the random kindness of strangers. But before that day, I did not.

Well it seems that sometimes thing come at you really fast and then other times it seems to take forever to get to you. Like when you are on vacation it goes by in a blink. But you just can't seem to get to Friday fast enough during the work week, you know?

I have actually gone on vacation this year once already. That in itself is just short of a miracle. But I am planning totake a few more extended weekends to get through the year happier. I think I get so burnt out on work because I don't take vacations. So this year I am going to try and avoid that syndrome if I can.

We have a lot going on over the next month as well. We were supposed to have a friend coming out from AZ to visit over the 4th. But she spent two weeks in Ireland recently and now can't afford the trip to CA. So we will probably be going to AZ sometime in Aug to see her instead. My husband's nephew, his wife and their three beautiful kids are coming to visit for a week beginning July 18th. They are flying in from Nebraska. The day before they leave though Lar and I will be making a trip to San Diego for a wedding. One of my recruiters is getting married. the wedding is the 25th, which is a Friday. So we will be going down early in the day and then saying through the weekend and enjoying a little time in San Diego. That is one of my mini vacations from work. A nice four day weekend for me. And then in Aug we will go to AZ for a few days (another mini vacation). Hopefully it helps relieve some of the work stress.

So July for us will be busy, but happily busy.

Anybody else got anything going on over the summer?

On top of that it is soooo Hotttttttt again. I keep hoping that I am going to adjust to the summers here. But it hasn't happened yet.

On my next post I promise pics of my adorable cat for Bea to see.
